Hanna Masako Uda
Born in Tokyo Japan.
Studied art and literature at Kyoritsu Women's University in Tokyo.(1977
-1981)
In 1997 made a first felted sheet and the dolls made of wool(Maerchen
Wolle) as the toys of Steiner (Waldorf) education. Since then began
learning and creating the works made of wool.
In 2000 had a first felt-making workshop for children.
Since 2002 providing felt workshops and producing hand-made felted
goods as own brand "hanna masako"
2004 January started the web-site "Yomo(Wool) Craft hanna masako"
Has had many workshops and exhibitions as a felt artist in Tokyo and
Yokohama area.
2006 worked for ANTiTESI as a desighner of the felted bags.
2007 May(Pentecost) and December,apearance on Japanese TV
Program "Life Line".(PBA)
2009 been invited and had wet felt-making workshops in Bangkok,
Thailand.(PINNSHOP)
2009/2010 Personal Exhibition at 'Art no Niwa(in Kunitachi, Tokyo)
2010 participated NHK Heart Exhibition at Seto Art Museum
2013 Have engaged making felt products with the handicapped people at
Yokohama city community workshop.
2015 Personal Exhibition at Shinjuku Takashimaya
2016 participated and Creative Association Exhibition invited from Filtti
(Finland Felt Association) and visited Finland.
Has many exhibitions in Yokohama and Tokyo.
Lives in Yokohama, Japan.
